Three wolves™

Living in Wellington, one must endure ridiculously high prices for a pint of beer (and if your preffered tipple is imported beer, then prepare to be severly stung…).

It occured to me while playing lawn bowls yesterday that our grandparents and elders have a fantastic little setup at their bowling clubs, and that they just might be more intelligent than we give them credit for. A bottle of beer cost us a mere $2.50, with pints and other beverages in a similar price range. Now, I don’t know about you, but i’d much prefer to pay these sorts of prices and hang out with some genuine down-to-earth kiwi blokes and lasses than stand in a crowded bar, or worse – wait in line to get into said crowded bar and pay excessively high prices for my drinks. Not to mention not being able to hear people speak and having to nod and smile in a vain attempt to pretend like you heard what they were saying!

I say that we boycott courtenay place, and go join our local bowling clubs (or RSA’s if we have grandfathers that belong). Not only will we be treated to the finest games of canasta and bingo the country has to offer, but we get to hang with some of our country’s greats and get some excercise too!
