My calling as a house husband
So I’ve taken the week off and I’m back at home in Palmy hanging with my Dad and my brother. Mum left this morning to go and see my sister play canoe polo in Amsterdam, so the boys are left holding down the fort.
Well, mostly I’m left holding down the fort as Dad goes to work and Tom goes to uni, so i’m hanging out at home by myself most of the time which is cool, as I have found my new calling - being a house husband!
Mum usually cooks dinner for the family, but seeing as she’s not here I’ve decided to take over cooking duties. So now I find myself planning and brainstorming what to cook the boys for dinner. It needs to be timely (Dad likes to eat at 6.30), cost effective, and tasty - but not too exotic as Dad’s a bit of a no-frills sort of guy and Tom doesn’t like anything too experimental. I think my caramelised date sauce on the stuffed chicken breasts could have been pushing things a bit too far!
Well, I guess making dinner doesn’t really add up to being a house husband - but it’s a start! I found myself enjoying Dr. Phil today as well - the guy really knows what he’s taking about…
