Parents and their kids
While riding the bus the other day, it occured to me just how much love parents have (or for those kids less fortunate: should have) for their kids.
This was illustrated to me by two parents, each with their kids in tow, riding the bus to work and obviously dropping their kids to playcenter or kindy or whatever it is kids go to these days! Watching their interaction, a distant memory sparked itself in my mind where I rememberd my mum saying to me as a kid: “You know that I love you so much don’t you Cam”.
I don’t really know where I’m going with this post, but just to say that I realise now more than I ever did then the kind of love that a parent has for their child and the love that my parents have for me (even though I’m now a big grown up kid). That do anything, lay down your life for, kind of love.
As a Christian, I see that love in God (the father) through sending Jesus (his son) to die for me. He loves me so much that he sent his son to live a perfect life here on earth, and then die a cruel death for me. All so I could be reconciled back to God, through Jesus, to a loving relationship with my creator.
Phew… a bit deep for a wednesday arvo! In other news, I’ve really been enjoying reading this guys blog.
Currently listening to: whatever is playing on DNA radio.
