Went along to toast martinborough on the weekend.
I think it’s about my 4th time there, and this year was as good as the rest of them. Fantastic wine, great weather, good friends, and just an all-around great day out.
Caught the train over at 8:30am, and arrived in the village around 10. We proceeded to spend the next 6 or so hours sampling the wine and food from various vineyears and eaterys in the wellington/wairarapa area. My favorite wines were the Ata Rangi Sav & Chards, and the reisling from Craggy range.
Didn’t really get into the food so much this year. For some reason it seemed to be more expensive/overpriced, but the food we did have was superb.
