Oh yeah, by the way…
We’re now in Vietnam, after a pleasant border crossing and a reasonably uncomfortable 6 hour bus trip. Six hours seems like an eternity when traveling around New Zealand, but over here the time flys by, and I find myself in Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) City.
I have to say, out of Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam, Vietnam is my favorite place so far, with Thailand coming in a close second. The cities (well, only Saigon so far) are clean, cosmopolitan, and buzzing. There are motorbikes and people everywhere.
We drove past a park tonight where love birds park up on their
, put the kick stand down, and then both perch themselves on the back and try their best to be romantic in an area the size of a bird cage. It was pretty hilarious and reminded me of intermediate!
I must write something about our last day in Cambodia, as it was pretty moving. It will get it’s own special post though.
