So the other day when our dollar was insanely high against the US (80 cents) I ordered a book from Amazon.
My order went through smartly, and I thought all was well. A few weeks later I started wondering where my nice book had got to, when around the same time I got an email from amazon saying that the shipping of my book had been delayed due to ...

All in all a pretty good first day here at the Wellington Webstock conference. Heard talks from Doug Bowman, Joel Spolsky, Darren Fittler, Donna Maurer, Kelly Goto and Steve Champeon.
Highlights were: Doug Bowman. Even just watching his Keynote presentation slides was enough to get me hot and sweaty! The guy is a great designer. Joel Spolsky was pretty funny, and talked about all the annoying stuff like updates ...
