London, Rome and about

Been hanging out in London this last week. Met up with lots of friends since I've been here and seen a bunch of interesting stuff including the Tower of London, Tower bridge, Trafalgar square, The National Gallery, walked along the Thames river, had dinner with Woka and Jen, dinner with Dave and Maz (and saw Dee and Daz really quickly on the way out!). Staying with my sister ...

Big week in Canada

So, Canada pretty much rules! Just spent a little over a week hanging about the rockies and a few other places getting in some serious powder and riding action. Every day, even if it was snowing and a little cloudy/windy, was an absolute cracker with all but one day offering fresh snow, with the most being a cool 30cms at Mt. Baker - BAM! Having never ridding in that ...

Locked out

Snow on steps Originally uploaded by cam three-wolves Decided to take a wee stroll this morning to get some picks of the snow that had fallen overnight. Socks? Nah, won't need em. Pufer jacket? Ok, better take that just incase it's cold out. Keys? Nah, won't need them cause i'll leave the door open. Mobile? Nah. Wallet? Nah. I'm good... So off ...

Weekend recap

Got back from Mt. Baker late last night after beer and pizza at the local pub in Glacier. A quaint litle place with the biggest pizzas I've ever seen. We ordered 3 19" pizzas for our table of eight and managed to consume the entire lot! Helped along by a couple of lovely local stouts, it was a great end to a superb first weekend of boarding. Headed up ...

Landed in Canada

Got here at lunchtime and been hanging out with mike for the afternoon. Been down to the coast to check out the views.... this place is so majestic. Pretty cold, but not as bad as thought. Got off the plane still in my jandals, but made a quick change into some more practical shoes once I hit the outside. Off to Mt. Baker tonight to catch up with Jamie and ...

And just like that, it’s over.

What a mad week. Feel like I've had absolutely no sleep at all (I almost haven't), and I've really made good use of my time here. New York is an amazing city: full of style, brashness, warmth, anger, fun, and excitement. As you've all guessed, I've had no time to update the blog as i've been burning the candle at both ends, but here's there short version: So, working backwards: ...

Road rage, New York style.

Witnessed some excellent road rage today: One guy cut another guy off. Guy that got cut off gives the other guy the bird out the window. Other guy stops parallel with bird guy. Coarse words are exchanged, and guy that cut other guy off drives away. Bird guy keeps giving it his best at the top of his lungs: "You F'n A-hole... why don't you learn how to ...

I have the world’s oil price solution

After a slow start trying to tell the cabbie where abouts in New York city I wanted to go, we finally get onto the motorway for our half hour journey into the city. Sitting in the Yellow Cab, with the cabbie flooring the gas pedal every 2 seconds and then backing off, I found the solution to the oil shortage: New York cab drivers need to ease off on ...

Less than 48 hours to go

I'm almost very nearly just around the corner about any minute now about to leave on a jet plane for New York City...baby! Hot damn. I could do without the 12+5 hours of flights, but hey... that's what iPods are for. The prayers are said, the camera's charged, the suitcase is borrowed (thanks Amanda) and almost packed, the phone's off the hook (well, maybe not), the laptop's getting a ...
