So exciting

Two weddings, two days, two friends hitched, two friends departed

Wow... what a full on weekend. My good friends Mike and Kirsty got married on saturday out in the Akatarawa Valley. Such a beautiful service, and it was an honor to be part of it. Gonna miss my mountain biking/snowboarding/red wine quaffing/blue cheese eating buddies... Photos here Sunday was Chris and Adele's wedding. Again, another really special service - quite moving at times too. The service was out in Silverstream, ...

I think i found what I was looking for…

So I went to see U2 play their friday night gig in Auckland last week. Without doubt it was THE BEST concert i've ever been to! Totally faultless, and a brilliant night that i'll remember for a long time yet. Here's some photos from the night, and some of my vids too. Sorry about the poor quality - they were all taken on my mobile fone. Not available anymore. There ...

Cheers!

Went along to toast martinborough on the weekend. I think it's about my 4th time there, and this year was as good as the rest of them. Fantastic wine, great weather, good friends, and just an all-around great day out. Caught the train over at 8:30am, and arrived in the village around 10. We proceeded to spend the next 6 or so hours sampling the wine and food from ...

First descent

We (Mike, VJ, Kylie & myself) had our first day up the mountain yesterday. We aptly named it 'First Descent' in hounor of the movie. I'm not sure we quite match up in skill to those on the actual movie, but hey - we can dream. It was a great day. A little windy, but bearable. The snow was nice in places, but man I can't wait for the ...

A long post for a long weekend in the Naki

So I'm back in Wellington after a brilliant Queen's Birthday weekend in Taranaki with some good friends, staying at my old mate Jamie's parents place. I'm super tired from all the activities, but fully stoked to have spent a weekend with some of the coolest, genuine and most loving people on the planet!

To a super-mum

Tis Mothers day here in New Zealand, and I've just come back from church where we've had an awesome service acknowledging our mums and all the work and effort that they put into our lives.

Cheap beer while you excercise

Living in Wellington, one must endure ridiculously high prices for a pint of beer (and if your preffered tipple is imported beer, then prepare to be severly stung...). It occured to me while playing lawn bowls yesterday that our grandparents and elders have a fantastic little setup at their bowling clubs, and that they just might be more intelligent than we give them credit for. A bottle of beer ...

Dawn parade ANZAC service

Wandered along to the dawn parade this morning. Got there a little early (4:50) to just a few people milling around. The TV crews hadn't even turned up yet, so you could say I was slightly over-keen, but we got in a good position to see the morning unfold anyway, so being early was a good thing - well, untill the mayor and a few MP's thought our ...

Easter eggs and holidays

Happy Easter to all. Much love to this guy for the meaning behind this long weekend. Just got back from the writhing metropolis that is Palmy North (no, i'm not joking!). It was so good to get out of Wellington for a while, and just spend some time relaxing at home. Got to watch a whole lot of discovery channnel, play some guitar, hang with my bro and do ...
